The Ughelli Weightlifting Competition...

Coming up on the 18th of December 2019; Here are some photos from the 2nd edition which took place on the 2nd of February 2019 , at the Oharisi primary school Ughelli Delta State, Nigeria.

The host of this prestigious event, Mr. Eugene Apochi, whom hails from Ughelli north LGA Delta state Nigeria, was interviewed by Quest tv/fm's Mr Kayode Johnson and was asked :Why weightlifting competition and why Ughelli"? He replied saying "Weightlifting and body building has been a hobby for me from childhood and it's a sport to reckon with... then again growing up in Ughelli Delta state was a major challenge as per growing up... the street was a tough one to raise a kid... it only took the grace of God for an average youth from Ughelli to succeed in and out of that town... Ughelli is a blessed land no doubt but the vices and bad influences surrounding her is nothing to write home about" furthermore Mr. Eugene Apochi said he wanted to give back to his hometown thereby occupying the youths with this prestigious sport hoping that all vices would be shunned by the youths...

He promises that this 3rd edition would be more fun as there would be lots of side attractions and numerous prizes to be won...
He lamented about the past editions on funds and sponsors not keeping to their end of promises as he takes out to time to specially thank the Ughelli north LG chairman Hon. Godwin Adode aka Coach Tete for his kind supports all through...

The Chairman of Ughelli North local government also promised that the next edition would be superb, delightful and congenial as he would give out his full support and cause other sponsors to partake in this captivating event...
